(With a few added words)
I cannot fully express how excited I am about Hallowe’en this year. I have had this costume idea for aaaaaaaaaaaages (even though it isn’t particularly original) and I’m giving it an updated (read: trashier) look. I bought the main part of my costume (which will be used for way more than just Hallowe’en. Like pretty much any excuse to wear this thing out, I’m there) from an Austrian website, and it arrived yesterday. Obviously I had to try it on. Here’s a sneak peek of the costume. Any guesses what I’m going to be?
In less exciting news, I’m still running more or less to plan for this marathon. I’m finding that I’m more and more exhausted as the weeks go on, so I’m really looking forward to tapering so I can feel back to my normal energetic self. I’m also looking forward to giving my poor feet a break. I’ve been a strict mistress recently, but it’s never a good sign when you finish a run, stretch, and notice this:
And because it is becoming a regular occurrence, I might as well let you guys see the foot au natural (Obligatory warning about a boner-killer of a photo below):

Owie!! Im getting all kinds of callouses and what not on my feet, no bleeding though… yet!
The costume is pretty awesome, can’t wait to see the whole thing!
Funny thing is I didn’t even feel it!
….are you going to be a slutty leopard?
Major ouch on the foot. I haven’t had any big problems yet, but I’m expecting to lose at least one toenail in the process.
I’m actually amazed I still have all of my toenails after hearing horror stories from everyone I know that has run marathons recount how they lost several of theirs!
And close on the guess. But it’s a cartoon character.
Cheetara.
We have a winner!
Those toes are anything but wordless! Ouch! That’s hard work though! And nice costume!
Ha ha, thanks! My feet are definitely going to be gifted with some Christmas pampering.
Ouch! That looks so painful! Any chance your toe nails are cutting into other toes? Mine used to do that, so now I keep them super short. Hope your toes start to get used to the training and toughen up!
That’s exactly what it was, but I cut them 2 days ago, so have been back to reshape the offending nail!
Ouch on the toes! Have you tried BodyGlide on your toes before you go for a run? Let me find my list of socks you should buy when you get to Texas! You need some help!
Ha ha, my feet have always been pretty battered. I must take after my dad – his are way gross. I would appreciate some shopping tips for Houston though!
